Sniffing around for an open door to do illustration work in Manila. So hard when you've been out of the network for 4 years. I need a place to start! Don't want to leave without planting seeds.

There's this application on Facebook that takes your status for each month of 2009 and makes some kind of collage out of it. I thought that was pretty nifty so made one for myself (in green, of course).

Here's what it looks like.

If you have a Facebook account, clickety-click HERE to make your own.

I took this pic while at Pose for PAWS 2009 last Sunday. And since then, I've been giggling at how funny Taco looks in the picture. I have made two icons/avatars out of it and now I'd like to share the question with you: "What should my next icon be?"

First icon: My dog saw your face and reacted. (Idea by: me)
Second icon: Rock on! (Idea by: Druce)

Let me know your suggestions! :D

And it will wake me from all this madness. It will mean everything in that moment. And then it will leave me a new emptiness to fill. Oust the rhythm of loneliness. With the melody of moments. New choices, sacrifices, and pain. And most importantly, love. After that, after all said and that, will it save me from all this sadness? Or is it all just part of this madness?

Remember when I said a while back that I'd stop leaving pics out of LJ cuts?

No, really. THIS will be the last.

After all my angst over having a crappy camera the first time, I couldn't pass up the chance to take another picture with Ryan. Camera settings are better, lighting's better, I don't have one of my brothers in the shot with me, and...he doesn't have that blasted goatee! ♥

That was an auspicious afternoon. I was wearing my #13 jersey. I sat at chair #13. It was December 13.

So, yes, Ateneo won the Philippine Collegiate Champions' League. It's still a fairly new tournament, so it's often being ridiculed, even by some of the teams themselves–Coach Norman Black said the players did not practice at all for this tournament.

I just saw it as one last chance to whip out our Ateneo shirts out of the closets before the year ends. This was the only game of the tournament that was played on a weekend, so families were finally able to go. Aaaand our friend Erica got us in for free, through the players' entrance, replete with a smile to the security guard on duty. Haha!

Erica fulfilled her promise and gave us seats right behind the Blue Eagles' bench. So I have a Facebook album full of stalker pictures. One of Erica's clients there was another Buenafangirl who shouted the shrilled and loudest "I love you, Ryan!" when he took his free throws. *rolls eyes* Thank goodness I'm restrained.

After the game ended, the fans quickly got onto the court to greet the players, getting pictures and autographs, and especially talking to the veteran players, Jai and Nonoy. It was amazingly behaved, considering the chaos–I mean, the fans made sure to approach the players out of the cameras' frames! If you watched it on TV, you wouldn't think there was any fanfare on the court. A total of only one moron interrupted a TV shot in the background.

It was Erica who tapped Ryan for me, and good thing we approached him early, while there were only a few fans waiting for him. Pretty soon, a horde of fans surrounded him too. I helped out my brother get pics with other players, namely Jai, Nonoy, and Eric, who remained on the bench after suffering from cramps during the game. He also wanted to take a picture with Ateneo's courtside reporter, because she's a pretty girl. Oh, teenage boys.

* * *

I say this is the last, because I've been considering giving up LJ. I honestly have nothing interesting to write in length about. I guess my thoughts are best served by micro-blogs or Facebook. That, and LJ's blocked at work, so what's the point.

I'll still leave this up, because I do have so many memories documented here. Maybe I'll write again, if ever I happen to meet Conan O'Brien or something. I'll be documenting my upcoming US trip on my Tumblr:

I don't totally get Tumblr either, so don't ask.

I'll still be around. Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr. Until I get tired of them again.

Miss: My relatives in America
Love: Family time
Hate: That I'm still crap at driving. Actually, it's all these motorcycles' fault. =(
